Special Olympics Oklahoma (SOOK) and Law Enforcement Torch Run (LETR) along with Poteau Police Department unveiled the twelfth LETR/SOOK wrapped vehicle in Oklahoma today at the Donald W. Reynolds Center in Poteau. The vehicle, which will be Poteau Police Sergeant Gary Hecht’s patrol car, features local Special Olympians who were on hand for the ceremony.
In attendance were local Special Olympians, Poteau PD, Poteau Mayor Scotty White, Poteau Council members, and other members of the community. SOOK Vice-President and Chief Operating Officer, Derek Cain, told those assembled that this is the twelfth LETR/SOOK wrapped vehicle in Oklahoma. He spoke about Poteau PD Sergeant Gary Hecht’s dedication to Special Olympics and his commitment to the Polar Plunge each year.
