Finding Adventure Through iNaturalist Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation

Since learning about a free online platform where users can share and identify nature sightings, Wildlife Department employee Shelli Gray has been on an exciting journey. Each of her 65 iNaturalist observations, including a county dragonfly record, tells a story of adventure and discovery. 

"I love nature photography, and when I read about sharing nature sightings through iNaturalist, I thought it might be fun and interesting," Shelli recalls. "I also thought it might be a way to help ID some of my sightings."
