Some white bass staged at the mouth of little beaver creek. Lots of paddlefish (residents) below Kaw Dam up to 65 pounds. Lower Illinois River: March 14. Elevation is 2.5 ft. above normal and stable, water temperature 44°F and clear. Rainbow trout fair on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, PowerBait, and worms. Comments: Current river flow 1,300 CFS Report submitted by Jerry Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Oologah: March 16. Elevation is 2 ft. above normal and falling, water temperature 51°F and murky. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait, live shad, and shad around channels, coves, and main lake. Largemouth bass slow on crankbaits, jerk baits, and spinnerbaits around points and standing timber. Paddlefish excellent snagging below the dam. Comments: Snagging is currently great if the dam continues to release water. Remember to be at least 1,000 feet below the dam.
