Want to learn the basics of deer hunting from the experts? The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation is partnering with Oklahoma Hunters and Anglers and the National Wild Turkey Federation to host a free in-person Deer 101 class from 9 a.m. to noon, Saturday, Sept. 28, at the Arcadia Conservation Education Area. Space is limited to 75 attendees. Subjects include:

  • Basic deer biology and behavior
  • Archery, muzzleloader and rifle basics
  • Gear essentials, scouting and setup
  • Public lands, ethics and hunter safety
  • Regulations
