GOP Congressional hopeful Josh Brecheen has been endorsed by WallBuilders founder and president David Barton. The pair will visit Oklahoma’s Congressional District 2 in a Prayers, Praise & Patriot’s town hall tour. Barton said he believes Brecheen is the kind of man America needs. “Our Nation is hungry for men and women who meet the Biblical criteria of leadership. Oklahoma has found such a candidate in Josh Brecheen,” Barton said.
DURANT – U.S. House of Representatives candidate and proven conservative Josh Brecheen will embark on a Prayers, Praise & Patriots tour of Oklahoma’s Congressional District 2, Friday, July 29. A well-known historian has endorsed the Coal County rancher, business owner, and former Oklahoma State Senator.“Our Nation is hungry for men and women who meet the Biblical criteria of leadership,” said David Barton, founder, and president of Wallbuilders. “Josh understands the wisdom that established this nation.”Brecheen said he is humbled and honored to be endorsed by someone who is dedicated to preserving, defending, and proclaiming the solidly Biblical and egalitarian principles on which the United States was built. “I’m thankful for David Barton and people like him who have dedicated their lives to ensuring the Christian foundations of our republic are never forgotten,” Brecheen said.According to its website, “WallBuilders is an organization dedicated to presenting America’s forgotten history and heroes, with an emphasis on the moral, religious, and constitutional foundation on which America was built.”The Aledo, Texas-based WallBuilders operates a museum and speaker’s bureau and has an extensive collection of historic documents. Brecheen and Barton will be joined by State Senator David Bullard, who represents State Senate District 6, and Pastor Duane Sheriff, senior founding pastor of Victory Life Church.The group will be at the J127 Resource Center, 717 N. 49th St. in Durant.From there Barton and Brecheen will travel to Muskogee First Assembly Fellowship Hall at 3100 Gulick St in Muskogee. The Muskogee event begins at noon.The tour continues at 4 p.m. in Claremore. Brecheen and Barton will meet with voters in the main auditorium of Destiny Life Church, 2300 Southhaven Rd.The tour is scheduled to end with a 7 p.m. meeting in the Community Hall of the Bartlesville Community Center, 300 SE Adams Blvd., in Bartlesville.In Bartlesville Brecheen and Barton will be joined by Dr. Everett Piper, a conservative commentator, and author. Piper authored the national best-seller, “Not a Daycare: The Devastating Consequences of Abandoning Truth.”Piper served as president of Oklahoma Wesleyan University for 17 years during which time he led his school from relative obscurity to a position of national recognition and influence. Piper presently serves as a contributing columnist for The Washington Times.
