I recently attended the Frink-Chambers School annual fundraiser, which I have attended for several years. It continually amazes me how the school brings the entire community together to raise money for their children. Their time-honored tradition of a pie supper and auction bring the community together to support their local school, and I hope it will continue for many years to come.

I want to congratulate Tim Diehl of McAlester on his recent appointment to the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission. This is an eight member board that oversees policy for the Oklahoma Wildlife Conservation Commission. Tim is a local businessman and hunter, and I’m confident he will be a valuable asset to the commission.

With swearing-in completed in mid-November, legislators are now able to request bills for the upcoming session. We have until Dec. 9 to request drafts of bills and joint resolutions, and work with House staff on the language for each bill until they’re officially filed Jan. 29. Session begins Feb. 6, and we’ll hear the Governor’s annual State of the State address, where he’ll go over his priorities and budget requests.

As always, thank you for allowing me to serve!
