OKLAHOMA CITY – Blakelee Pugh, a senior at Gore High School, served as a page for Rep. Randy Randleman, R-Eufaula, at the Oklahoma House of Representatives April 25-28 during the second session of the 58th Legislature.

Pugh serves as senior class president and president of the Future Farmers of America chapter, serving in leadership as well as showing cattle. She is also involved in 4-H, student council, National Honor Society and band.

Pugh plans to attend Connors State College before transferring to Oklahoma State University to major in agriculture education, with goals to become either an ag education teacher or an advocate for the ag industry.

“Blakelee did a wonderful job serving as a House page this week,” Randleman said. “She was a diligent and professional worker and asked thoughtful questions to learn more about our state’s legislative process. I’m sure she’ll continue to succeed in whatever she sets her mind to.”

Pages are assigned for one week, Monday through Thursday, during the legislative session, which runs from the first Monday in February until the last Friday in May. The high school students work in the House Chamber during daily session, run errands for representatives and staff, and take part in the House Page Mock Legislature on the floor of the House Chamber.
