House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson comments on passing of former United States Rep. Wes Watkins

OKLAHOMA CITY – House Democratic Leader Cyndi Munson, D-Oklahoma City, gave condolences after the passing of former U.S. Rep. Wes Watkins at 86.

Watkins represented Oklahoma’s 3rd Congressional District for a cumulative 20 years.

“I send my sincerest condolences to Lou Rogers Watkins, Congressman Watkin’s son, and everyone who knew and loved Congressman Wes Watkins,” Leader Munson said. “He served Oklahoma well and cared deeply about creating access to education for Oklahomans and opportunities for our universities. He was a great example of public service to our state and worked to leave Oklahoma better than he found it. He will be greatly missed.”
