Registered voters in Poteau voted in a new councilmember on Tuesday during the Oklahoma primary.
Matt Lamb won the position with a total of 582 votes or 37.65 %.
Ron LaMar – 72 votes or 4.63%
Brian D. Foos – 30 votes or 1.93%
Harry Tustin – 444 votes or 28.57%
Don Harmon – 426 votes or 27.41%
Lundy Kiger wins the State Representative race for the Republicans with 990 votes or 50.95 % and his opponent Eldon Dugan won 953 votes, or 49.05 %.
Kiger will now face Democratic opponent Troy Dyer.
For State Senator on the Democratic side.
Eddie Martin 1256 votes or 35.92%
Christopher Ford 2241 votes or 64.08%
Eddie Martin wins in Sequoyah County with 2617 or 68.36% while Christopher Ford receives 1211 votes or 31.64%.
For State Senator on the Republican side
Mark Allen – 1258 votes or 68.07%
Heath Eubanks – 590 votes or 31.93%.
Mark Allen also won in Sequoyah County with 1202 votes or 58.75% against Heath Eubanks with 844 votes or 41.25%.
