WASHINGTON— Today, Congressman Markwayne Mullin (OK-02) released the following statement after voting against both H.R. 6, the American Dream and Promise Act, and H.R. 1603, the Farm Workforce Modernization Act.
“In the midst of a crisis at our Southern Border, Speaker Pelosi insisted on passing two amnesty bills that will do nothing but incentivize more people to cross the border illegally and make the Biden border crisis worse,” Mullin said. “Encouraging illegal immigration by providing mass amnesty is the last thing the federal government should be doing during this crisis. Instead, we should be repealing President Biden’s executive orders, building the wall, and working with state and local authorities to secure our border.”
