Today, the bill failed to advance from the Government Oversight Committee.
“I am thankful to the chairman and committee members for hearing this bill,” Stewart said. “Despite it not advancing through the oversight committee, I am encouraged by the progress of this new law by a freshman legislator and for the displayed bipartisan support. I will continue to work on HB 1114 during the interim and look forward to taking the committee’s suggestions into account and presenting a much stronger piece of legislation next session.”
