It’s hard to remember a time when the real meaning of Christmas was the same as what the world was celebrating. By and large, Christmas as we know it is about giving and receiving presents, Santa coming to town, and the commercialization that comes along with it.
Somewhere along the way, we lost the true spirit of Christmas. Between giving the perfect gift and getting everything on our list, we forgot the real meaning of Christmas. Christmas—as it should be—got lost in the noise.

Matthew 1:21 tells us: “And she shall bring forth a son, and thou shalt call his name Jesus: for he shall save his people from their sins.” The true meaning of Christmas is the celebration of the Lord Jesus Christ who was born to this earth to save sinners like us.
For the last two years, I have been wished Merry Christmas, rather than Happy Holidays, by the President of the United States. The war on Christmas is over. And in turn, Americans are free to say Merry Christmas again, without political correctness getting in the way. We are free to celebrate our faith in God, just as are others are free to practice their religion.

The miraculous birth of Jesus Christ calls us to rejoice. This Christmas, my family will partake in the celebration of the real spirit of Christmas. “For God so loved the world that he gave his one and only Son, that whoever believes in him shall not perish but have eternal life (John 3:16).”

On behalf of the entire Mullin family, I want to wish you and your family a very, Merry Christmas.
