April 2, 2026–Rep. Josh Brecheen (R-Coalgate) announced on Tuesday that he will seek re-election for a third term as representative for Oklahoma’s 2nd Congressional District. He has committed to serve a maximum of 8 years (4 terms) in the U.S. House of Representatives and was first elected in 2022. The 2nd Congressional District covers 28 counties in the eastern part of Oklahoma.

“As your Representative, I remain committed to my conservative values and a constitutionally minded approach while advocating for the types of legislation and policies that address the greatest issue of our times, which is that our nation is headed toward fiscal and moral bankruptcy. As my voting record and actions show, I remain committed to reining in deficit spending, opposing unconstitutional policies, protecting the religious liberty rights of Americans, and supporting the efforts of President Trump to keep our borders safe and promote America First values.”

Congressman Brecheen serves on the House Budget and Homeland Security Committees. In addition to serving on the full committee, he serves as a Member of the Emergency Management and Technology Subcommittee and as the Chairman of the Oversight, Investigations, and Accountability Subcommittee.
