The Cameron Middle School and High School Archery teams were champs of the Arkoma Archery Tournament on Saturday, December 3rd.
The Cameron Elementary Archery team finished runner-up in their first ever tournament.
Sophomore Brayli Beason was the overall Arkoma tournament champion as well the high school female champ.
8th grader Leighton Dyer was the middle school female champ and the second overall tournament winner. 7th graders Tatum Hamptom and Jason Watts both placed 3rd female and 3rd male, respectively.
This was the first of four state qualifying tournaments the Yellowjackets will compete in this season, including hosting their own on January 6-7. They have a total of 8 regular season tournaments on their schedule. The first was in Altus, Arkansas where both the middle and high school teams also were tournament champs.
Cameron is the defending county champs in both the middle and high school divisions and home of last year’s 3D world champion. The Yellowjackets are off to a good start and looking forward to another successful season.
