In the competitive playing field of JUCO baseball, Carl Albert State College is proud to have a star stand-out in shortstop Mac Moody.

Moody was selected as the NJCAA DII National Player of the Week for this past week, marking him as the best offensive player in the entire nation last week.

A Fort Smith, AR, native, and a graduate of Southside High School, Moody is currently a sophomore at Carl Albert. Playing since tee ball, Moody has been known as a utility infielder but has settled in at second base for the Vikings. Current season stats are: .465 batting average, 20 hits, 3 homeruns, 3 triples (1st in NJCAA DII), 3 doubles, 11 runs scored, and 10 RBI’s. In a game #2 win vs Labette CC on 2-27-21, Moody hit for the cycle (single, double, triple, and homerun).

Earlier in the week in a win vs. Connors State College on 2-25-21, Moody was 4-6 with 2 homeruns, 5 RBI’s and a single away for hitting the cycle for 2 games in a week.

Moody played summer ball for Sportsman Baseball in Fort Smith, and is pursuing a degree in General Studies.
