RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league’s fifth Women’s Tennis Player of the Week award for 2021.
Arkansas Tech’s Aastha Dargude earned the nod after going undefeated against two GAC opponents.
GAC WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Aastha Dargude, Arkansas Tech, Fr., Mumbai, India Dargude improved to 5-1 in singles play from the No. 3 position as she earned victories against Henderson State’s Franny
Nyarko and Southern Arkansas’ Serena Gill.
In the deciding match against Nyarko, she dropped the opening set but rallied to win the second set in a tiebreak and 6-1 in the decisive set. She earned a three-set win against Gill.
