NORMAN – The Oklahoma women's gymnastics team remained steady as the No. 2 team in the country after defeating then-No. 3 Utah Sunday afternoon.
Florida remained at No. 1 with a 197.375 average. Michigan (197.225) and Minnesota (197.025) made their debut in the top five after competing for the first time in 2021 over the weekend. LSU (196.913) rounded out the top five teams.
OU holds the No. 2 spot on bars (49.363), the No. 3 spot on beam (49.313), the No. 4 spot on vault (49.238) and ranks sixth on floor (49.325).
Seven Sooners earned 10 individual rankings this weekend. Anastasia Webb leads the way with four rankings. The senior is ranked fourth nationally in the all-around (39.563), third on beam (9.925), 11th on vault (9.888) and 20th on floor (9.888).
Three freshmen are ranked with Audrey Lynn at No. 12 on vault (9.875), Katherine LeVasseur at No. 11 on bars (9.900) and Audrey Davis at No. 15 on bars (9.887).
Senior Carly Woodard holds a top-10 ranking, coming in at No. 6 on beam (9.900). Junior Emma LaPinta is also ranked in the top-10 on floor at No. 10 with a 9.900 average. Sophomore Jenna Dunn rounds out the ranked Sooners at No. 17 on beam (9.875)
The Sooners will face their first road test on Friday when they take on West Virginia at 6 p.m. CT in Morgantown, W.Va.
