RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league’s weekly awards for the fifth week of the cross country season. Arkansas Tech’s Aubre Gilreath won the Women’s honor and Harding’s Bartek Kwiecinski earned the Men’s award.
GAC WOMEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Aubre Gilreath, Arkansas Tech, So., Rogers, Arkansas
Gilreath scored the second individual title of her career as she posted a winning time of 19:27.2 at the Arkansas Tech Invitational. She led the Golden Suns to a team championship with a perfect score of 15 points. She has finished as the Golden Suns’ top runner at five straight meets.
GAC MEN’S RUNNER OF THE WEEK – Bartek Kwiecinski, Harding, Jr., Wschowa, Poland
Kwiecinski turned in a career-best time as he led the Bisons at the Greater Louisville Classic. He turned in a time of 25:22.4 to finish 19th in a field of 412. His time represented a personal best, more than 40 seconds faster than his previous top mark. He has finished as the top Bison performer at both races this season.
