RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the league’s third GAC Women’s Soccer Player of the Week awards of the 2021 season. Northwestern Oklahoma State’s Tiarra Campbell won Offensive Player; Ouachita’s Josilyn Kispert claimed Defender and East Central’s McKenna Leveling garnered Goalkeeper of the Week.
GAC OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Tiarra Campbell, Northwestern Oklahoma State, F, Fr., Apple Valley, California
Campbell tallied four goals in the Rangers’ 5-1 win at Oklahoma Panhandle State. She recorded the first four-goal game in the conference since Southwestern Oklahoma State’s Alimata Rabo netted four against Southern Nazarene on October 27, 2018. She scored in the 11th minute of their 2-1 victory against Oklahoma Christian.
GAC DEFENDER OF THE WEEK – Josilyn Kispert, Ouachita, Jr., McKinney, Texas
Kispert led the Tigers in their 3-0 home victory against UT Tyler, the Patriots’ first loss of the season. She scored the winning goal with a 51st minute tally. The Tigers extended their win streak to three, all three via shutout. They have not allowed a goal in more than 280 minutes.
GAC GOALKEEPER OF THE WEEK – McKenna Leveling, East Central, Fr., Fort Worth, Texas
Leveling set the Tiger and the GAC record for saves in a single match when she tallied 20 in East Central’s double-overtime contest against Midwestern State. She made nine saves in the first half, seven in the second half and four across the two overtimes. The 20 saves represented the most in a Division II game since November 2019.
