Wister Public Schools held its annual Elementary School Spelling Bee Wednesday, February 13, 2019.

One participant was chosen from each of the classes grades four through eight for a total of 8 students.

Seventh grader Natileigh Rodgers won the spelling bee and sixth grader Darcee Meeks was the runner up.

Both students will represent Wister Elementary School at the Eastern Oklahoma Spelling Bee later this spring in Muskogee.

Mrs. Cartwright, Wister Elementary Principal and announcer for the spelling bee, said, “We’re really proud of all the students who competed today. They all worked really hard to get here today.
Congratulations Natileigh and Darcee. We are proud of you.”
