Wister High School Choir Student Chosen for 2017 Oklahoma All-State Choir Featured

Seth Hill, a senior at Wister High School was recently chosen for and performed with the Oklahoma Music Educators Association All-State Choir.

 

All-State Choir members were chosen through a series of auditions held in October and November. The OkMEA All-State Choir concert was held January 21, 2017, at the Tulsa Performing Arts Center.

 

Seth is the son of Jason and Cindy Hill. He is a member of the Wister High School Choir and a three-year member of the Eastern District Honor Choir.

 

He has earned “Superior” ratings in solo, ensemble and choir at the OSSAA district and state level competitions.

 

He is a member of the National Honor Society and WHS Academic Team and is on the Principal’s Honor Roll. Seth is the worship leader at Bethel Baptist Church in Wister.

 

WHS choir director, Bill King, said, “Approximately 2000 students auditioned for the OkMEA All-State Choir for only 200 spots. Seth is the first student from Wister High School to make the All-State Choir.”
