According to the Oklahoma Highway Patrol, a Wister man was injured in a vehicle collision that occurred on Oct 13, 2021 at approximately 9am on US-271 approximately one mile north of Summerfield in LeFlore County.
According to the report, a 2006 Ford Ranger driven by Josh Lewis 25, of Wister, was northbound on US-271 when he departed the roadway to the left, overcorrected and overturned. Lewis was ejected unknown distance.
Lewis was transported by LeFlore County EMS to Mercy Hospital in Ft. Smith, AR. Admitted in stable condition with multiple injuries.
