Robert Leigh Johnico from Cameron, Oklahoma and Resided in Heavener, Oklahoma in his last years, Robert was born on February 13, 1949. He was proceeded in death by his mother, Walsie Mae Summers, and his Father Eugene Johnico Sr., his wife of 40 years, Floralla Jean Johnico, of Cameron, Oklahoma.
Robert is survived by his Brother, Eugene Johnico Jr of Texas and his Daughter, Audrey Lynn Johnico of Heavener, Oklahoma, his step son Eddie of Cameron, Oklahoma. His grandchildren, David and his wife Crystal Priest of Rock Island Oklahoma, Jerri and her husband Ben Clark Of Rock Island Oklahoma, Dustin and his wife Tessa Adams, of Gilmer, Texas, Ashlee DeFluiter of Poteau, Oklahoma, Taylor and husband Brandon Aills, of Gilmer, Texas, and Kaylee DeFluiter of Oklahoma. His life companion of 5 years Rita Ward, of Heavener, Oklahoma. Numerous Great Grandchildren and Great Great grandchildren throughout the states of Oklahoma, Arkansas, and Texas. Nieces, and nephews, Adrian, Felicia and Melody Johnico, from Oklahoma and Texas. And Jonathan Hale, and his wife Ashley Hale of Shady Point, Oklahoma. Robert will be missed by Sandy his beloved Cat and best friend, who laid by his side until his very last day.”
Besides spending time with his family and friends, Robert had a passion for playing dominoes with family, fishing, Sports, especially the OU Sooners. Robert had an adventurous and entertaining personality. And was known for the ability to make others smile and laugh around him.
A Memorial Service will be held at the Dale Cox community center Sunday, February 12th @ 12:00pm, with a dinner to follow. If you are unable to attend per family request that when friends and loved ones watch an OU Sooners game or whenever you’re enjoying sports with family and feel the wind in your hair remember he’s right there with all of us!
Cremation is under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
