Memorial Graveside Service for James Louis King, 76 of Poteau, Oklahoma will be at 10:00am on Tuesday, September 5, 2023 at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma with Elder Steve Woods officiating. Cremation is under the direction of Grace Funeral Service of Poteau, Oklahoma.
He was born on July 22, 1947 in Evansville, Indiana to Agnes Catherine (Parr) King and James Edward King and passed away on August 30, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Dora Diana May (Doyle) King on December 4, 1976 in Phoenix, Arizona. . James was preceded in death by his parents, son, Shawn King and sister, Rebecca Montelaro. He enjoyed being a ham radio operator. He was generous and loved being of service to others. Jim was always there when needed.
Survivors include his wife, Diana King; sons, Shannon King and wife Miranda, James King; daughters, Lori Fox and husband Darrin, Davina Pederson and husband Mark, Amanda Cummins and husband Devin; grandchildren, Brittany King, Chris King, Jacolby King, Chloe King, Daniella Fox, Dylan Fox, Caroline Pederson, Catherine Pederson, Stefan Pederson, Corbin Cummins, six great grandchildren, numerous other relatives and loved ones.
