Private Service for Cal Dean McCullough, 89 of Red Oak, Oklahoma will be held at a later date under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Cal was born on March 25, 1934 in Lingo, NM to Rilla Dean Smith and Leon C. McCullough and passed away on October 4, 2023 in Fort Smith, Arkansas. He was married to Mary Sparks on May 12, 1956 in Wilburton, Oklahoma. He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Jim McCullough; and sister, Naomi Molthan. Cal was a greatly successful Log Cabin Builder, and Real Estate Developer.
Survivors include his wife of 67 years, Mary Faye Sparks; 5 daughters, Becky Harris and husband Frank, Connie Rutledge and husband Steve, Phyllis Downing and husband Bryan, Donna Montgomery and husband Keith, Jan White and husband Jimmy; 12 grandchildren, Jeremy Fields and wife Rachael, Brooke Fespermen and husband Jeff, Chloe Fields-Fespermen; Mary Holbird and husband Shawn, Jennifer Ryles and Husband Mike; Jarod Downing and wife Heather, Brandon Downing, Rachel Equihua an husband Paul, Beau Brewer and wife Nikki, Dillion Morris, Kaley Lyons, and Jaden White; 23 great grand children, 7 great great grandchildren; and sister, Hazel Shariff.
Visitation will be Friday, October 6, 2023 from 4:00-6:00 PM at the funeral home.
