Jerolene T. Harber, 88, of Monroe, Oklahoma, passed away on March 16, 2025. She was born on December 15, 1936, in Bethel, Oklahoma to Goldie (Wise) Beshears and Waymon Beshears. She was preceded in death by her parents, her beloved husband Thurman Harber, and her sister, Glenda.

Jerolene was a long-time member of the Sugarloaf Christian Fellowship, where she found peace and community for many years since 1968. She had a true passion for life and enjoyed many hobbies, including puzzles, playing dominos, and, above all, spending time with her children and grandchildren. She was also an avid reader and loved to draw, filling her home with creativity and love. Jerolene’s warmth and devotion to family will be remembered by all who knew her.
She is survived by her sons, Thurman Lee Harber and his wife, Rose, Dennis Harber, and Donny Harber; grandchildren, Lee Harber, Tiffany Harber, David Harber, Brian Harber, Matthew Cordes, Blandon Deen, and Hansel Deen; numerous great-grandchildren; and her sister, Jaunice Gellett.
The funeral service will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 19, 2025, at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Jim Cook officiating. Burial will follow at Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home.
A viewing will be held on Tuesday, March 18, 2025, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m., where the family will receive friends at Evans and Miller Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Thurman Lee Harber, Donny Harber, Dennis Harber, Matthew Cordes, Brian Harber, and Blandon Deen.
Jerolene will be deeply missed, but her legacy of love, devotion, and faith will remain in the hearts of all who knew her.
