To be absent from the body, is to be present with the Lord. Martha Johanna Real entered the presence of her Savior on September 10, 2025, surrounded by her loving family. Martha was born on July 19, 1961, in Bartlesville, OK, to parents Raymond Tomlin and Jeraldine (Shockey) Tomlin. Martha was a woman of great faith, a faithful member of Keota First Baptist Church, and had a deep love for her family and hummingbirds. To know her, was to love her. She loved Sunday dinners and family gatherings, where she was always the one behind the camera. She was the one who was always up for whatever needed to be done and the one to do anything for anyone.
Preceded in death by her parents.
Martha is survived by her husband, Daniel “Joe” Real, her daughters, Samantha Archambault and husband Robert of Panama, Oklahoma and Jeanisa Shackelford and husband Chris of Poteau, Oklahoma, one brother Neal Tomlin of Keota, Oklahoma, her sisters, Thelma Alford and husband Eugene of Stigler, Oklahoma, Sarah Schwarzbach and her husband Shawn of Port St. Lucie, Florida, and Jennifer Dees and husband John of Keota, Oklahoma, her grandpets, along with numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, relatives and friends.
The Celebration of Life Services for Martha will be held 10am – Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Keota First Baptist Church with Pastor Mike Newberry officiating and burial to follow at Old Cache Cemetery in Keota, Oklahoma. The Family of Martha Real will greet friends from 6pm – 8pm on Friday, September 12, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. Casket bearers will be David Hope, O’Riley Hettinger, Henry Nixon, Kaleb Heffner, Robert Walden, and Cordell Ramsey
