RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the volleyball players of the week for the third week of the season. Henderson State’s Katilyn Steffes and Harding’s Olivia Wiedower repeated as Offensive Player and Setter of the Week. Ouachita Baptist’s Kylie Kisgen secured the Defensive Player of the Week award.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL OFFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Katilyn Steffes, OH, Henderson State, Sr., Rochester, Minnesota
Steffes averaged a GAC-leading 4.17 kills and 4.92 points per set. After a 10-kill performance against Arkansas Tech, she notched four double-doubles at the Bettye Wallace Invitational. She collected 19 kills and 13 digs against Missouri Southern State, 17 kills and 12 digs against Quincy, 18 kills and 18 digs against Drury and 11 kills plus 17 digs against Pittsburg State.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL DEFENSIVE PLAYER OF THE WEEK – Kylie Kisgen, L, Ouachita Baptist, Jr., Freeburg, Illinois
Kisgen led a defensive effort that helped the Tigers go 3-2 in a week that included a win at Southern Arkansas and a five-set affair with No. 9 Washburn. She paced the GAC in digs per set, 6.37, for the week. Twice she eclipsed 30 digs as she amassed 31 in the four-set win against the Muleriders and 35 in a four-set contest against Central Missouri.

#theGAC VOLLEYBALL SETTER OF THE WEEK – Olivia Wiedower, S, Harding, Jr., Conway, Arkansas
Wiedower averaged 11.45 assists per set as the Lady Bisons won all three of its contests. She totaled 30 assists and five assists in their sweep of Southwest Baptist. She followed up with 38 assists and eight digs in a three-set win against Trevecca Nazarene. She capped her week with a season-high 58 assists and a career-high 22 digs against Crowley’s Ridge.
