Misty Dawn Followill Thompson

Misty Dawn Followill Thompson born October 10th, 1974, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, the daughter of Steve Followill and Barbara Landon. She passed from this life September 9th, 2025, in Oklahoma City, Oklahoma at 50 years old (forever 29). Misty was a 1993 graduate of Choctaw High School. She married the love of her life Bill Thompson on June 21st, 2008. Her days were spent playing solitaire, on numerous apps, while drinking a cold diet coke. If she was not in Oklahoma, she would be somewhere on a beach watching the sunset. She was a passionate OU fan but did trick Bill by having a Longhorn sticker on her car. She also loved going to Oklahoma City Thunder games and cheering them on to their Championship. Most of all, Misty loved spending her time with her family, especially her children, Quinn and Ava. Nothing made her happier than to see the smiles on their faces.

Misty was preceded in death by her dad, Steve Followill, and her grandparents, Mildred and Leon Followill, and Harry and Pauline Howk.

Misty is survived by husband, Bill Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her children, Quinn and Ava Hale of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her mother, Barbara Landon and husband Bob of Arlington, Texas, her sisters, Felicia Followill of Harrah, Oklahoma and Stephanie Thomas Hand of Talihina, Oklahoma, her father-in-law, Larry Thompson of Norman, Oklahoma, her mother-in-law, Kathy Thompson of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, her brother-in-law, Carl Thompson of Prosper, Texas, her sister-in-law, Yvette Thompson-McDonald of Asher, Oklahoma, as well as a host of nephews, nieces, other relatives and friends.

The Celebration of Life Services for Misty will be held at 7pm – Saturday, September 13, 2025, at The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-Day Saints, located at 12020 N Mustang Rd, Mustang, Oklahoma 73099. The Family of Misty Followill will greet friends at the conclusion of the service. Church Services under the direction of Bill Eisenhour Funeral Home 8805 NE 23rd St, Oklahoma City, OK 73141.

The Celebration of Life Graveside Services will be held 2:30PM – Sunday, September 14, 2025, Graveside at Albion Cemetery in Albion, Oklahoma. Graveside Services under the direction of Holt Funeral and Cremation 522 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. Any floral arrangements locally can be delivered at Holt Funeral and Cremation, and we will make arrangements to help get them to the graveside service.
