Ricky Lloyd Amos Sr

Ricky Lloyd Amos Sr, 65, passed away on October 14, 2025, in Heavener, Oklahoma, with his family by his side. Ricky was born on January 28, 1960, in Poteau, Oklahoma to parents Willie and Mary Jean (Higgins) Amos. Ricky was a jack of all trades. He worked many jobs over the years but was best known for his mechanic skills, but also loved to take care of yards, whether it was mowing or weed eating or cutting trees, he could do it all. Ricky was preceded in death by his parents, his sisters Faye Amos, Ruby Jewel Amos, and Sue Hill, and his brothers Jerry Don Amos and Jimmy Lee Amos.

Ricky is survived by his children Mary Amos of Poteau, Oklahoma, Carrie Amos and wife Kayla of Poteau, Oklahoma, and Ricky Amos Jr of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, his grandchildren Brittany Amos, Jasmine Corbett, Jaden Baxter, and Christopher Amos, his brothers Willie Gerald “Bud” Amos of Poteau, Oklahoma, Edward Lee Amos of Poteau, Oklahoma, and Gary Don Amos of Dyer, Arkansas, his sisters Sharon Kay Cowan of Van Buren, Arkansas and Mary Katheryn Real of Poteau, Oklahoma, along with many other relatives and loved ones.

The Celebration of Life Services will be held 5pm – 7pm on Monday, October 20, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial will be held privately at New Hope Cemetery in Spiro, Oklahoma.
