 Earl D. Smith, 89, of Heavener, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on October 27, 2025. Earl was born on February 4, 1936, in Harrisburg, Louisiana, to Morris J. and Myrtle (Parker) Smith.
Earl D. Smith, 89, of Heavener, Oklahoma, passed away peacefully at his home on October 27, 2025. Earl was born on February 4, 1936, in Harrisburg, Louisiana, to Morris J. and Myrtle (Parker) Smith.
Earl spent his life as a mechanic and farmer, he was known for his love of the outdoors — especially fishing, hunting, and traveling whenever possible. Above all, Earl was a devoted family man, who took great pride in his family. Earl was a faithful member of Ellis Chapel Church in Wister, Oklahoma.
He was preceded in death by his parents; his beloved wife, Martha; his son-in-law, Claude Smith; one sister, Linda Shipp; two brothers, A.J. Smith and Douglas Smith; one great grandson, Parker Ciampoli.
Earl is survived by his children, Jay Smith, Kelly Smith, Kathy Smith, and Dayton Smith, all of Heavener, Oklahoma; siblings, Juanice Johnston of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, Johnny Smith of Dubberly, Louisiana, Marshall Smith of Springhill, Louisiana, Jean Franklin and husband John of Springhill, Louisiana, and Rita Behrens and husband Jon of Rapid City, South Dakota.
He is also lovingly remembered by his grandchildren, Stephen Smith of Heavener, Oklahoma, Krystal Belcher and husband Chris of Van Buren, Arkansas, Cody Smith and wife Shannon of Heavener, Oklahoma, Shelby Neal of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, brother-in-law Billy Young and wife Jennifer of Plain Dealing, Louisiana, his sister-in-law Carolyn Wilson and husband Jimmy of Plain Dealing, Louisiana; five great-grandchildren, Raelyn, Alyssa, Lucy, Nora, and Cole; and many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
