Brett Collins was born on September 7, 1960, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Jack and LaWanna (Henson) Collins.
He was preceded in death by his parents, his sister Penney Qasem, and his brother Barry Collins and wife Judy Collins; survived by his daughters, Holly Billy of Marietta, OK and Tyger Collins of Ardmore, OK and his beloved grandchildren, Corbin Griffith, Silas Billy, Madison Billy, and Heaven Collins (AKA Tiny Dancer) who brought him endless pride and joy.
He is also survived by his siblings Ginger and Darrell Adams of Wister, Mitzie and Doug Mathis of Poteau, Kellie and John Pruitt of Wister, and Tammy Plummer of Poteau, as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, aunts, uncles, and dear friends.
Brett’s greatest love in life was his family and friends. He touched many lives and took joy in leading others to Christ.
In his younger years, Brett enjoyed participating in rodeos and football, and he never missed an opportunity to watch his grandkids play sports.
He and his daughter Tyger shared a special bond through their love of the paranormal, spending many hours together watching Ghost Adventures and exploring their shared curiosity.
In recent years, Brett was actively involved in 633 Recovery, Inc., where he continued to share his faith and support others in their journey toward healing and redemption.
Brett will always be remembered for his faith, his laughter and humor, his stories (big and small) and his big heart.
He loved deeply, lived faithfully, and left an imprint on every life he touched.

The Celebration of Life Services for Brett will be held 11am – Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at Ellis Chapel Church 36001 Ellis Chapel Road with Kane Riggs officiating. The Family of Brett Collins will greet friends from 6pm – 8pm on Tuesday, November 11, 2025, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma.
