John Wayne Upchurch of Eufaula, Oklahoma, passed away January 24, 2026, in Eufaula, Oklahoma at the age of 71. John was born on September 11, 1954, in Poteau, Oklahoma to Herbert and Maudie (Blair) Upchurch. John was preceded in death by his parents, Herbert and Maudie (Blair) Upchurch, his brothers, Doyle, Alfred, James, Herbert Jr, Thomas and Floyd Upchurch.
John is survived by his sisters, Loretta Price of Poteau, Oklahoma, Mary Louise Pierce of Heavener, Oklahoma, Barbara Kendall of Eufaula, Oklahoma and Niela Upchurch of Spiro, Oklahoma; one very special friend, Dayla of Panama, Oklahoma and his great- great niece Natalie Hetherington of Heavener, Oklahoma.
