Danny Authur Minor of Stigler, OK, passed away on Friday, September 4, 2026, at the age of 71, surrounded by his family in Fort Smith, AR. He was born on May 24, 1955, to James and Evelyn (Hale) Minor.

He married his best friend Susan Walden on October 23, 1981. They enjoyed spending time together whether it was driving around or simply sitting together. Their favorite thing to do was to watch their Oklahoma Sooners in football but they would coach the Sooners in any sporting event. Danny’s love for the Sooners was only dimmed by his love for Susan, his kids, his grandchildren and the Lord.

It never mattered what his boys were doing, he was the proudest dad you could find. He loved his boys and they loved him. They would be drawn together in laughter and sports chatter anytime they were in the same space. When they all three married, his heart grew to include his three daughters-in-law that he simply called his daughters. His joke with each that they were his favorite was a constant. His grandchildren were his true favorites. The special bond he shared with each one will be treasured in the hearts of Papa’s babies. There was never any doubt that he loved them, and he made sure to tell them all often.

Danny was a longtime resident of LeFlore county. He grew up in Panama, number 5 of 6 kids. His siblings all agree that Danny was loved by them all and the term spoiled was used on occasion. Danny loved classic cars and classic stories of days gone by in Panama. He wore many hats in the occupations he held. From Flea Market owner to Classy Auto Sales car salesman. His most meaningful titles were those given to him by the people he loved the most.

Danny is preceded in death by his parents; two sisters and brothers-in-law, Janice and Johnny Thompson, Diana and George Holstien; a brother and sister-in-law, Ronnie and Kathy Minor; and a special brother-in-law, Harlon Easton.

His legacy of love will live on in those who survive him, his best friend and love of his life, Susan Minor of the home; his three sons and daughters-in-law, Jeremy and Molly Minor of Wister, OK, Devon and Lisa Minor of Kellyville, OK, and Damon and Sabrina Minor of Stigler, OK; his personal fan club, his ten grandchildren, Samuel, Henley, Colton, Ella, Bennett and Thea of Wister, Thatcher, Tucker and Theodore of Kellyville, and Nora of Stigler; his sisters and brother in law, Sharon Easton of Fort Smith, AR, Donna and Trevor Sutcliffe of Shady Point, OK.

The Celebration of Life Services for Danny will be held 10am – Wednesday, September 9, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma with his sons, Pastors Jeremy Minor, Devon Minor, and Damon Minor officiating and burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Panama, Oklahoma. The Family of Danny Minor will greet friends from 6pm – 8pm on Tuesday, September 8, 2026, also at The Cedars on Dewey. Casket bearers will be Jeremy Minor, Devon Minor, Damon Minor, Jeff Dover, Sam Minor, and Seth Balentine. Honorary Casket bearers will be all his grandchildren, Trevor Sutcliffe, Josh Goodwin, and Bo Easton.

The Family of Danny Minor would like to extend a special hug of gratitude to the staff of Mercy hospital’s ICU, hospice and 5100 wing nurses and techs for every way they showed love to them and to Papa. Chairs, blankets and hugs that were shared were truly special blessings.

In lieu of flowers, the family has requested the Word of God be delivered by way of Gideon Bibles. Gideon Bibles can be ordered through Holt Funeral and Cremation 918.721.0026.
