#theGAC WOMEN’S TENNIS PLAYER OF THE WEEK (WEEK FOUR)

RUSSELLVILLE, Ark. – The Great American Conference announced the women’s tennis player of the week for the fourth week of the 2026 season. Arkansas Tech’s Elis Gergel claimed the award picking up singles wins and a doubles victory.

Gergel improved to 4-0 in singles after she earned wins against Angelo State’s Anna Wache and Colorado State-Pueblo’s Fernanda Martinez. She did not drop a game to Martinez. In doubles play, she paired with Monica Balau for a 6-1 win from the No. 1 position.
