Well……….Beth died.

Galena Beth Armstrong went to be with the Lord on March 26, 2026, in Fort Smith, Arkansas at the age of 60. Beth was born on July 31, 1965, in Coalgate, Oklahoma to Charley and Gertrude (Smith) Larimore.

Beth was a woman who feared the Lord. She was a wife, mother, sister, meme, and so much more. She was kind and noble, strong and humble, generous and loving, brave and fearless. Beth was a very hard worker. She worked at the Poteau theater, managed apartments, and storage units all at the same time. She once worked at OK Foods, but only for three days. Later in life, she worked with Oklahoma Parents As Teachers, followed by teaching early childhood students, working at Monroe School and becoming the director of various daycares and head starts. Beth loved working with children. When she graduated with her Bachelors Degree in Human Services, she worked at Meadowbrook for several years. Finally, she was offered her dream job, to become a professional Girl Scout. She worked there for more than 5 years, and she thrived in every role. She then retired so she could be home with her grand-babies which she greatly valued. She is a tough act to follow. She battled a massive illness for far too long and her faith never wavered. It was very normal for her to make jokes, smile, and spread love and joy.

A favorite quote of hers “Don’t stop the combine for the field mice”.

Proverbs 31:31 “Honor her for all that her hands have done, and let her works bring her praise at the city gate.”

Beth was preceded in death by her father, Charley Larimore.

She is survived by her husband Steve of the home, her children, Lucian Armstrong and his wife, Gaby of Monroe, Oklahoma, Layne Curtis and her husband Cody of Howe, Oklahoma, Johnathon Armstrong of Heavener, Oklahoma and Jannet Armstrong of Poteau, Oklahoma, her mother, Gertrude Janice Larimore of Fort Smith, Arkansas, her brother, Harmon Larimore of Tulsa, Oklahoma, four grandchildren, Bentley, Tucker, Kyleigh Curtis and Ryver Armstrong along with numerous other relatives, loved ones and friends.

A Celebration of Life for Beth will be held on 1pm, Monday, March 30, 2026, at the Monroe First Baptist Church in Monroe, Oklahoma with Brad Hill officiating.
