Catherine Stacie “Cathie” Carlson

Catherine Stacie “Cathie” Carlson was born on December 2, 1976, in Talihina, Oklahoma to Margie (Ward) Jones and Eugene W. Jones. She passed away on April 8, 2026, at St. Francis Hospital in Muskogee, Oklahoma.

Cathie was a loving mother, sister, and friend. She cherished spending time with her daughter, family, and friends, and always wanted to make everyone around her happy. Known for her warm spirit, she had a beautiful smile and a hug for everyone she met. In her spare time, she enjoyed watching sports. Cathie was a member of Good Springs United Methodist Church and will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.

Survivors include her daughter, Joleigh Carlson of the home; brothers, Michael Jones and wife Paula and family of Bartlesville, Oklahoma, and David T. Jones and wife Regina and family of Talihina, Oklahoma; as well as numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, relatives, and a host of friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two babies; grandmothers, Katherine Anderson-Ward, Florence Ben, and Sally Jones; grandfather, Jackson Jones; uncles, Wayne “Windy” Ward, Melvin “Moses” Ward, J.D. Ward, Buddy Taylor, and John Emmert; aunts, Daisy Perry, Evelyn Taylor, Gloria Ward, Cindy Ward, and Lucille Ward; along with numerous cousins and relatives.

Pallbearers will be Michael Jones, David T. Jones, Floyd White Eagle, Jace Ford, Billy Perry, and Jordon Gutherie.

Viewing and visitation will be held Wednesday, April 15, 2026, from 1:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Christ’s Church at Lenox

Funeral services for Catherine Stacie “Cathie” Carlson, 49, of Talihina, Oklahoma, will be held at 2:00 PM on Wednesday, April 15, 2026, at Christ’s Church at Lenox in Muse, Oklahoma with Bro. Raymond Johnson officiating.
