Lee Steelman of the Haw Creek Community was born October 18, 1928 in Zoe, Oklahoma to Leonard and Bea (Rind) Steelman and departed this life surrounded by family on October 13, 2018 in the Haw Creek Community at the age of 89.
Lee is survived by:

Mike Steelman and wife Theresa of the Haw Creek Community
One daughter:
Linda Hamner and husband Charles of the Haw Creek Community
Six grandchildren:
Kelly Graham, Rick Hamner, Steve Hamner, Teri Box, Brooke More, and Jessica Steelman
15 great-grandchilren
Two nephews:
Clyde, Jr. and Butch Steelman
Two nieces:
Regina Roland and Naomi Cundieff
Numerous cousins, other loved ones, and a host of friends
He was preceded in death by his parents, Leonard and Beatrice Steelman; his wife, Norma Steelman; two brothers, Chester and Clyde, Sr. Steelman; two sisters died after their birth, names are unknown; and one nephew, Keith Allen Steelman.
Lee was a long-time resident of the area, a logger, and was a member of the Big Creek Baptist Church. He enjoyed spending time with his family and friends.
Lee will be deeply missed by all whom loved and knew him.
Funeral service will be 2:00 p.m., Tuesday, October 16, 2018 at the Big Creek Baptist Church with Reverend Clyde Steelman, Jr. and Reverend John Mark Little officiating.
Burial will follow in Big Creek Cemetery under the direction of Dowden-Roberts Funeral Home of Heavener, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be: Joe Box, Rick West, Rick Hamner, Brandon Faulkenberry, Steve Hamner, and Ceb Scott.
Viewing will be from noon to 8:30 p.m., Monday and 8:30 a.m. to noon, Tuesday at the funeral home.
