Patricia, or “Trish” as she was known to her family and many friends, lived a life centered entirely around family. Although she never had children of her own, she devoted herself to caring for others. She helped her parents raise her younger siblings, including two sets of twins born just 17 months apart. Throughout her life, she lovingly cared for her disabled sister, Wanda, especially after the passing of their mother.
Trish was the rock of her family—the person everyone turned to for help, advice, and support. She frequently set aside her own needs and sacrificed her time to care for those she loved. Her generosity, strength, and unwavering devotion to her family defined who she was.
Trish and James shared 30 years of marriage, being united on November 1, 1995. They enjoyed traveling extensively together. She also deeply cherished her extended family, especially her first cousins. She always looked forward to family gatherings with her cousins, where she could laugh, reminisce, and create new memories. To her great-nieces and great-nephews, she was much more than an aunt—she was like a grandmother, offering them love, guidance, and encouragement.
Trish was loved and respected by her former coworkers for her strong work ethic, extensive knowledge, leadership, and wonderful sense of humor. While living in Texas, she served as President of the Arlington Women’s Business Association. Some of her longest and most treasured friendships began in the workplace and lasted throughout her life.
As a young woman, Trish was a fierce competitor, excelling in both basketball and softball during high school. Her love for softball never faded, and she could often be found in her kitchen watching college games and cheering on her favorite teams.
Trish was also an incredible cook who took great joy in preparing each person’s favorite meal whenever she had the opportunity. Though small in stature, she possessed remarkable strength and determination. Over the past eight years, she faced significant health challenges with courage, resilience, and an unwavering will to live. She fought every day and never gave up.
In the end, Trish stopped fighting only when she felt God was calling her home—inviting her to take His hand and reunite with the family members who had gone before her. While her absence leaves an immeasurable void in our lives, her love, strength, and devotion to family will continue to live on in all of us.
She is survived by her husband, James Ogden, of the home; one brother, Jimmy Pipkins of Pocola, Oklahoma; two sisters, Gail Kay Pipkins of Pocola, Oklahoma, and Jane Damato of Pocola, Oklahoma; two nieces; one nephew; and numerous other family members and friends who will dearly miss her.
Patricia was preceded in death by her parents, George and Annie Pipkins; sisters, Ethel and Bethel Pipkins, and Wanda Pipkins; brothers, Jay Pipkins and Johnny Pipkins; and brother-in-law, John Damato.
Pallbearers will be Vince O’Connell, Brenden O’Connell, Michael Pipkins, Mitchell Pipkins, George Michael Pipkins, and Allen Beam.
Honorary pallbearers will be Mike Bryant, Jeff Been, Harold Wilkins, Joe Damato, and Mike Harold.
Funeral Service for Patricia Ann Ogden, 80, of Pocola, Oklahoma, will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 26, 2026, at the Evans & Miller Funeral Home Chapel in Pocola, Oklahoma, with Dr. William Willis officiating. Burial will follow at Macedonia Cemetery in Pocola, Oklahoma, under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Viewing and visitation will be on Thursday, June 25th from 6:00-8:00pm at Pocola Funeral Home.
