The Oklahoma Department of Wildlife Conservation offers a unique, family-focused opportunity through its Special Family Hunts, and applications are now open! These unguided hunts provide a dedicated time and space on specified WMAs each year for families to sharpen their skills and grow their confidence as hunters. The WMAs are closed so families can hunt and navigate public lands without the pressure of crowds or competition.
Whether you’re passing down traditions or starting your own, these specialized hunts provide a quiet, focused setting to build skills, put meat in the freezer or simply enjoy nature alongside the people who matter most.
