Deborah Leanne “Debbie” Reed, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed peacefully into the presence of her Savior on July 2, 2026, at the age of 72.
Debbie was born on July 25, 1953, in Poteau, Oklahoma, to Sonny and Erma Reed. She spent her life loving others well and found her greatest joy in The Lord and her family.
She is survived by her loving mother, Erma Lee Reed; her daughters, Leannda Goodrich and husband David, and Mikah Britt and husband Kyle; her cherished grandchildren, Baylee Garcia, Brylee Goodrich, and Oaklee Britt; and her precious great-grandchildren, Zoilee Garcia, Zaleeah Garcia, and Nyxlee Laughter. She is also survived by her siblings, Darlene Davidson and husband Chuck Lavery, Dwayne Reed and wife Annie, and Denise Reed.
She was preceded in death by her father, William (Sonny) Reed, and her brother, Donnie Reed.
Debbie’s greatest accomplishment and greatest joy were her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. They were the center of her world, and she loved each of them with all her heart.
Throughout her life, Debbie held several jobs, but the one she treasured most was owning her own daycare. To the many children who passed through her doors, she wasn’t just a caregiver—she was “Grandma Debbie.” Her kindness, patience, and loving spirit left a lasting impression on countless families.
In her later years, you could usually find Debbie tending to her beautiful flower beds or proudly cheering on her grandchildren at their many activities. She was known for her generous heart, her warm smile, and the best hugs—hugs that made everyone feel loved.
Debbie waited her whole life to meet the Lord, and her faith gave her hope and peace. While none of us can know exactly what Heaven is like, those who loved her can’t help but smile at the thought that if Heaven allows Bob Seger to play, Debbie is surely dancing with Jesus.
Though our hearts are broken, we rejoice knowing she is whole, healed, and home. Her love, compassion, and gentle spirit will live on through the family she adored and the many lives she touched.
She will be deeply missed, forever loved, and never forgotten.
The Celebration of Life Services for Debbie Reed will be at 1pm, Monday, July 6, 2026, at The Springhill Baptist Church in Monroe, Oklahoma with Joe Hayden Hall officiating. Burial will follow in Monroe Cemetery, Monroe, Oklahoma. The Family of Debbie Reed will greet friends 2-4 pm, Sunday, July 5, 2026, at The Cedars on Dewey 520 Dewey Ave Poteau, Oklahoma.
