The first-place Bulldogs won both matches this week by scores of 3-1 against Newman and Emporia State. The Lady Rangers went 1-1 on the week with a 1-0 road win at William Jewell before falling at home to Fort Hays State, 2-0. Harding recorded its first draw with a scoreless tie against Rogers State.
Ouachita Baptist responded to two season-opening losses with a pair of results after seeing a 0-0 tie against Missouri Southern and a 2-2 draw with Rogers State.
Teams will continue competing in their non-conference slate before conference play begins Wednesday, Sept. 16.

Southwestern Oklahoma State freshman forward Kinsey Geasland picked up her second consecutive GAC Offensive Player of the Week nod with a five-point week that featured two goals and one assist, resulting in SWOSU’s first two wins of the 2026 campaign. The first-year forward had a hand in both of the Bulldogs’ first two goals against Emporia State, netting the opening goal before assisting teammate Braelee Epp for the second score. Geasland currently leads the conference in goals (3), points (7) and shots on goal (12).

Ouachita Baptist sophomore defender Bri Lilly was on the pitch for 170 minutes of OBU’s first two positive results of the season. Lilly anchored the Tiger backline against Missouri Southern for the entire 90 minutes without allowing a goal for a 0-0 draw.

Southwestern Oklahoma State sophomore goalkeeper Emma Young allowed just one goal during her 135 minutes spent in goal. After spending all 90 minutes as the last line of defense against Newman, during which she allowed one goal, Young held Emporia State scoreless in her 45 minutes of in-goal action.
