Three local LeFlore County officials: Derwin Gist, County, Craig Olive and Gaylon Freeman gathered on the second floor of the courthouse for their swearing in ceremony administered by Associate District Judge Marion Fry.
Fry administered the oath to Incumbent, Derwin Gist, County Commissioner District one, then to Craig Olive, County Commissioner, District 3, and Gaylon E. Freeman, newly elected County Assessor took his oath of office on Wednesday on the first official day of county business for 2019.
All three took their oath that stated they would swear that they will support, obey, and defend the Constitution of the United States, and the Constitution of the State of Oklahoma, and that they will not, knowingly, receive, directly or indirectly, any money or other valuable thing, for the performance or nonperformance of any act or duty pertaining to my office, other than the compensation allowed by law.
Congratulations and good luck to all county officials as they begin a New Year.
