(POTEAU, OKLAHOMA) – The 3- day “Rumble in The Mountain’s” Motorcycle Rally will kick-off Thursday Evening September 12th with a parade at 5:30 food at 6:00 and a concert at 7:00 p.m.
The parade will begin at 5:30 p.m. leaving from the Donald W. Reynolds Center continuing down Broadway North, proceeding to the By-pass South and exiting off Hwy 59 South on McKenna back to Downtown where all the Motorcycle Riders will park in the street on blocks 1 and 2. The 3- Day Rally this year is open to all motorcycle owners and can register on-line at http://www.poteauchamber.com
“We are doing something different this year after the parade. The downtown event “The Cowboys Of The Asphalt Rally On Main Street” will be a FREE Concert and open to the public. Blocks 1 and 2 will be blocked off with a re-union of old friends and one of the best concerts returning to where it started almost 20 years ago. Billy Hoffman, and I have talked about this night for more than 3 years, and now is the time for things to happen big.
This will be for all family, friends, residents and anyone that wants to have a night of dancing, food, drinks, fun and music.
Organizers of the 2019 Rumble in The Mountains Rally is looking forward to a great opening night downtown with the locals and will continue the next two days at the Donald W. Reynolds Center.

Billy Ray Hoffman is Arkansas Born but raised here on LeFlore County Soil and Asphalt as his family owns a business JOB Construction (an asphalt company) currently in Poteau for more than 50 years. In 2000 BH was the first artist to sign with Critter Records, which was managed by Joe Stampley. Stampley produced Hoffman’s debut album, which included a cover of Paul Davis “I Go Crazy” where two singles charted the Hot Country Singles & Tracks Chart. Billy went on tour producing two videos that can be seen on YouTube. “All I Wanted Was You and Barroom Athlete”. Billy’s career ended by his choice to come home to what he loved the most his family, the business and the community.
Billy’s interview describes Barroom Athlete as “it’s not a physical challenge as you can see most of us; it’s how we all wished we were great athletes, but these days all we do is sit around and plan it”. That he did with being the lead in helping the City of Poteau, Poteau Main Street and The Chamber plan an event that we can talk about for many years.
There will be Chuck Wagon BBQ Dinner with Chuck Wagon Master, Justin Jackson Horse Pen Chuckwagon cooking using an 1890 Authentic Bain Wagon which will be on the street. Warehouse Willy’s and the Angry Mullet will also be open downtown and with a list of others on Broadway.
The retail businesses will stay open later to accommodate all the visitors and rally goers.
