On Friday, November 9, 2018, The Community State Bank Spiro Branch held their 2nd annual breakfast appreciation to celebrate Veterans and to say thank you.
“God sent us a wonderful breeze today so that our flag could fly beautifully for our Veteran’s breakfast!
We made sure that our Veteran’s had plenty to eat! We served chocolate gravy, white gravy and sausage gravy. We had donuts and muffins and coffee and orange juice.
They said that our cooking was much better than what they got served in the chow halls during their service, so we gladly served them seconds!
The Veteran’s visited and shared stories with us and each other. One even brought some pictures to show!
We even converted John Redwine (Spiro State Bank) over to the good side! I think he may have “forgotten”his TCSB hat on the table though.
We had a great morning serving our Veteran’s! If we counted correctly, we served around 21!
We look forward to doing it again next year!
