The LeFlore Baptist Association in Poteau is pleased to announce that they’re opening their doors to a new free medical clinic that has opened its doors for a once a month clinic to help the community.
The Open Doors Clinic is directed by Harlan Trewin and they plan to be open on July 25 from 5pm to 9pm p.m. at the LeFlore Baptist Association located at 106 Flanagan in Poteau.
Patients will be served on a first come, first serve basis, with the last patient taken at 8:30pm.
Seeing the great need to offer free medical services was the driving force for opening the clinic, said Trewin.
The clinic is made possible because of caring volunteers who are willing to serve the community.
The equipment along with medical chairs for the three exam rooms were all donated. Sinks were added to all the exam rooms, there’s a prayer room and a lobby area.
Dr Brigance and Dr Gillette have volunteered their time to care for patients during the hours they are open. This is a much-needed ministry and besides just medical issues the clinic wants to focus on the spiritual health of the patients as well.
The Open Doors Clinic is open to anyone who doesn’t have access to medical care.
They plan to open one day every month and if the needs arise, they will plan to open twice a month.
