Aven worked on oil rigs for nearly fifty years and loved every minute of it. He took great pride in his work and was respected for his strong work ethic and dedication to the oilfield industry. Outside of work, he enjoyed working on cars and building them, a passion that brought him countless hours of enjoyment throughout his life.
More than anything, Aven loved his family. He cherished the time he spent with them and took great pride in their accomplishments. His love, guidance, and presence will be deeply missed by all who knew him.
Aven will be remembered for his devotion to his family, his dedication to his work, and his love of automobiles. His legacy of hard work, loyalty, and love will live on in the hearts of those who knew and loved him.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Alvin and Mildred Easton; his brother, Harlon Easton; and his brothers-in-law, Jerry Baker and Leon LeMaster.
Survivors include his wife, Donna Easton; daughter, Shylah Ridgway and husband Chad; sons, Aven Brent Easton, Justin Easton and wife Seana, and Riley Easton; grandchildren, Kedrick Ridgway and girlfriend Chelsea Salinas and soon-to-be great-granddaughter, Kymbri Ridgway, and honorary granddaughter, Charlie Rose; sisters, Arlene LeMaster and Carol Baker; sisters-in-law, Sharon Easton, Loretta Hamil, Catherine Altamira, and Renee Stout; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives, and loved ones.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Josh Jennings, Joel Williams, and Charles Metcalf.
Viewing and visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 11, 2026, at the funeral home.
Graveside Service for Aven Alvin Easton, 69, of Poteau, Oklahoma, will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Friday, June 12, 2026, at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma, with Jeff Dodd officiating. Burial will follow under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
