Betty Jane (Bell) Mitchell passed away on February 4th, 2021 peacefully in her home at the age of 83. Betty was born in Wadesboro, LA on December 6th, 1937 to Peter Paul Bell and Gladys Marie (Clayton) Bell, both of Louisiana. Betty loved to sew, she enjoyed traveling and reading her bible. She babysat and cared for many children over the years and was called Momma Betty by several.

Betty’s survived by: four sons – Stan Cooper and wife Debbie, John Cooper, Tim Cooper and wife Lindsey, & Aaron Mitchell; four daughters – Carolyn Pennel and husband Tommy, Sheila Johnson, Mary Parham and husband Scott, Betty Jo Clark and husband Scott; 25 biological grandchildren, 9 bonus grandchildren, over 100 great grandchildren, 16 great great grandchildren and several cousins, nieces & nephews.

Betty was preceded in death by her parents, one son Randall Cooper & wife Jennifer, two grandsons Jason Harris and David Smith, husbands William “Bill” Cooper, Delmer Gregory & JC Mitchell, two brothers Jack Bell & George Bell, two sisters Mary Perkins & Lillie Graham.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, February 13th at Tim’s home where she resided. All friends and family are welcome to attend this drop in event, from 10am till 6pm. A private burial of cremations will be done with family at Monroe cemetery on a later date.
