Blane Nelson Donaldson, 63, of Poteau, Oklahoma, passed away on April 29, 2026 in Poteau, Oklahoma.
Blane was born on April 24, 1963 in Tulsa, Oklahoma to Lana (Ridenhour) Donaldson and John Nelson Donaldson.
Blane was fun-loving and always had a smile that could light up any room. He loved Jesus and carried a strong faith throughout his life. He had a deep love for music and dancing, and he never turned down a sweet treat—especially cookies. Blane was a passionate bowler and proudly participated in the Kibois Special Olympics. He also enjoyed attending concerts and spending time people-watching, finding joy in the world around him.
He is survived by his aunt and uncle, Susan and Wayne Parsons of Tulsa, Oklahoma; cousins, John Parsons and wife Jessica of Tulsa, Oklahoma, and Jeff Parsons and wife Charity of Tulsa, Oklahoma; and special family friends, Crystal Fout and Alan Callahan of Poteau, Oklahoma, Kenny Barnhart, and his Kibois family.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John Donaldson and Lana Donaldson.
Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Monday, May 4, 2026 at Evans Chapel of Memories in Poteau, Oklahoma with Phil McGehee officiating. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma under the direction of Evans & Miller Funeral Home of Poteau, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers will be Kenny Barnhart, Alan Callahan, John Parsons, Josh Gravely and Paula Goforth.
