Carl Elton Gray was born on April 27, 1931 in Elk City, Oklahoma to Lavada Gray and Leonard Gray and passed away on December 10, 2021 in Fort Smith, Arkansas.
Carl is survived by his daughter Karla Holt and husband Glen; a son Alan Gray and wife Kathy; grandsons Justin Ochoa and wife Jessica, Dustin Ochoa and wife Darrah; great grandchildren, Ivy Ochoa, Cameron Ochoa, and Ezrah Ochoa.
Carl was the oldest of 4 siblings and had out survived them all, brothers Earl Gray, Hosey Gray, and a sister Emma Johnson. Carl was in the Air Force from September 1951 to September 1955 serving in the Korean War. He was a rancher, truck driver, Auctioneer, Business owner, Realtor, and a wheeler/dealer by trade. He loved life, loved his children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. He loved his guns, cowboy hats, and his ostrich boots. He was between a John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. He was a perfectionist about his yard and was still mowing ate the age of 90.
The family will hold a Memorial Service 2:00 PM on Saturday, January 15, 2022 at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma. Burial will follow at Oakland Cemetery in Poteau, Oklahoma. Cremation is under the direction of Grace Funeral Service in Poteau, Oklahoma
